Position Description:
We are looking for an experienced fabricator, machinist, and welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in TIG welding, machining, and precision fabrication for high-end automotive restoration and race vehicle builds. This position requires working with limited supervision to design, fabricate, and machine parts for vintage Porsche and Volkswagen projects, as well as race and rally car builds.

Job Duties:

Fabricate, modify, and machine components for vintage restorations and race builds

Work with a variety of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, and chromoly
-
TIG weld high-end components to exacting standards
-
Design and create materials lists, ordering materials as needed

Reverse engineer and recreate original parts with period-correct accuracy

Machine complex parts, including those requiring precise tolerances, threads, and tapers
-
Assist with developing and fabricating special tools for unique applications
-
Document and file drawings for custom-made parts

Experience with engine machinist work

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of fabrication, machining, and welding experience

Strong TIG welding skills with aluminum, stainless steel, and chromoly
-
Experience in high-performance or racing automotive fabrication
-
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
-
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

Previous experience in motorsports fabrication

CNC machining experience

Sheet metal shaping and restoration experience

Proficiency in CAD design and blueprint reading

Passion for vintage Porsche and Volkswagen vehicles
